A Trip to Alaska: Denali National Park and the Kenai PeninsulA

In July/August 2007 we took a once-in-a-lifetime kind of vacation to Alaska. Everything about the place was big. Big hours of daylight (the sun set in Barrow for the first time since May 10th while we were there), big steep mountains, big animals (grizzlies, king salmon, moose, eagles) and big attitudes (many Alaskans’ personalities are simply too big to be contained in the lower 48).
